The phrase “real women” has so much weight and meaning to it that I am always hesitant about using it myself…

I am very much aware that I cannot speak for every woman on earth, but I have a few reasons why some women cheat.  First, I believe that some women cheat because they do not trust the person they are with.  If a man has done something in his past (cheating or lying) the average woman will have trouble trusting that person again even if it is just a small doubt in the back of her mind.  Because of this, a woman will set up a back-up plan ( another man) just in case her boyfriend or husband disappoints her. Having a man ready to be there in case her boyfriend or husband cheats on her is better than not having somebody there when things fall a part.  Another reason why some women cheat is because they are lacking something in their relationship.  If a women is not getting something from her partner, she is GOING to look for something to fill that void.  This void can be filled by finding a new hobby, but most likely, it will be another man.  My last reason to explain why some women cheat is because they feel empowered doing so.  A women has control over who she sees and when she sees them giving a sense of being empowered (even if this sense of empowerment comes from doing something really stupid).

PSA: I do not condone cheating and wish that people would just leave the person they are with before they decide to cheat because it is ultimately unfair to everyone involved.  I made the mistake of cheating once but I learned from my mistake and realized it was not worth it. SO LETS TRY TO AVOID IT!
